On the afternoon of May 5th, our school held a Congress to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the May 4th Movement and the 97th anniversary of the founding of the League. Huang Xiaomei, Secretary of the Party Committee of the University, Zhao Lingyun, Vice-President Cai Hongsheng, Vice-President Tan Hong, Vice-President Peng Nansheng, Vice-President Xia Lixin, Vice-Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Commission of the University, Chen Houfeng, Assistant President Lin Gengmao and Assistant President Ren Youzhou attended the commendation meeting. The schools' relevant functional departments, directly affiliated units, college leaders and representatives of young teachers and students attended the meeting. In this congress, the League Committee of the College of Mathematics and Statistics won many honors. The League Committee of Shutong University was awarded the title of "Red Banner League Committee" with a total score of one. Zhang Jun, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee of Shutong University, was awarded the "Leadership Award for Emphasizing the Work of the Communist Youth League". Xie Dingyi, Secretary of the League Committee of Shutong University, was awarded the "Excellent Communist Youth League Cadres (Teachers)". Gong Xinxin of Shutong College was awarded the "Excellent Communist Youth League Cadres in 2018" and the Branch of Shutong College was award Banner Regiment Branch.
In 2018, under the correct leadership of the Party Committee and the League Committee of Shutong University, the League Committee of Shutong University actively led the League organizations at all levels in the whole college and the young students to study deeply the socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics in the new era of Jinping, to continue to inherit and carry forward the spirit of "being a strong person in life and winning glory for the college", to continuously strengthen the construction of the League organization and better transmit positive energy.
Huang Xiaomei delivered an important speech at the conference. In her speech, she put forward three hopes for the young people of Huashi Teachers'College: "never forget their first thoughts, be determined to act, and bring forth new ideas through knowledge".
